This rare combination of virtues seems here to be embedded in the way of being and the ways of doing of these people. It's the first thing I noticed in the children at school. Education method used aside, when the children get to school they take off their shoes and start preparing their place: they pick the tables to write and draw on, the pillows to sit on, their own folders with pencils and copybooks and are all set for a new session. And before they leave school they would put everything back in its place. It's a simple gesture that allows teachers to do other things and that gives responsibility to the little ones. The youngest of them is 8 years old. They don't show the slightest sign of annoyance and by doing all this they rather look as the happy owners of their learning space. This is discipline. They are attentive, curious, really willing to understand whatever you are saying. The older ones would note everything down. Lucky teachers for good kids. Also, they are respectful. Boys don't harass girls. They don't hurt each other, wait for each other's turn and are able to say sorry one another. In my memory, when we girls used to wear a skirt, we knew the boys would have the urge to lift it and laugh. Perhaps, we could have avoided a couple of trauma's just by being among such cute little Asians! :)

Sottoscrivo. La disciplina infantile mi ha lasciata senza parole. Ciao pupa!
ReplyDeleteI recognize some habits at the children in my class.... But some are a little bit "strange"for me! Working with children is always a pleasure, when you have real contact with them and be honest to the young people. If they trust you, you can always count on them. But the teacher has to be pure and real...
