Ready for Sampa!

No update has been possible in the past weeks. First I wasn't much in the mood and then I was back home in Cefalù, which means internetting is the last of my thoughts. Among the reasons, a winter between 14 and 24 degrees was just too good to waste my time on the web. The days back home were just lovely.

Now, as my life as a MA student has officially and successfully ended, my next and only focus is our backpacking trip through South America! Many have said 'how cool!', 'great', 'amazing', but some have also asked 'to do what?'...We are going to South America to enjoy life. For we are young, bright, globetrotters and in our twenties. This is our time.

Tomorrow we will have a long day ahead. In the car at 3 am to make it to Schiphol airport and fly to São Paulo (or Sampa as they say)! Can't wait to spend the next days on a tropical island!

Here I am

When I will come back to this first blog post in the future, I will probably laugh at the thought that I started blogging out of boredom. The boredome of writing a master thesis, that is. Anyway, for ages I have had this idea of just having a blog that friends and family could read and catch up with what I am busy with. But for that bit I know myself, constancy and persistency are not among my virtues. This is why no blog of mine has ever come to existence before.

Nevertheless, I reckon it will be more useful than ever now that I plan on escaping the winter to roam South America!
So, not much to say for the moment. I am not revealing travel plans and so on. I guess I’ll be back on the screens when my duty will be accomplished. Until then!
